Trips To See Ohio’s Best Symphonies

There are a small handful of beautiful symphonies across Ohio. In the capitol of Ohio, Columbus, the well-known Columbus Symphony Orchestra performs musical programs year-round. The Columbus Symphony orchestra professional performs a variety of pop, classical and family programs along with educational programs and youth orchestras. Perhaps their most popular performance is the annual Holiday Pops. During the holidays the Columbus Symphony orchestra plays festive holiday classics and favorites to enliven the mood of the season.
Lima, Ohio is the home to the Broadway frequented Crouse Performance Hall. The Lima Symphony Orchestra performs beautiful symphonies all year including Mozart by Candlelight, The Romance of Spring, Scaling Infinity and more. Lima is only an hour or two away from Columbus, so seeing a symphony there after the Columbus Symphony Orchestra is a must.
The self-proclaimed popular orchestra in the Southeast is the Ohio Valley Symphony. This year they are entering their 22nd season of performances, and they have promised the public hip, colorful and artistic symphonies. Upcoming performances are Hip Harp and The Romantics. Travel to Gallipolis City Park to see the Ohio Valley Symphony on Independence Day.
