1. Camelot

Camelot is based on the legend of King Arthur. The theme of Camelot is displaying the reign of King Arthur and how power can easily corrupt individuals. In addition, the opera tells the story of two star-crossed lovers, Lancelot and Guinevere. Eventually, the lovers are separated due to the evil reign of King Arthur. This spectacular opera has received 4 Tony Awards in the United States. Seeing the beautiful costumes and elaborate sets for this opera is quite the aesthetic experience. This opera has the ability to trigger deep feelings of human companionship and longing in any individual who sees this opera.

2. The Pirates of Penzance

The Pirates of Penzance is an opera telling the story of an indentured slave forced to work for his master. In this tragedy, the indentured slave believes he is finally free of his duties to his master. Due to a legal technicality, however, the indentured slave is forced to work for his master another 63 years. During this time, he must sacrifice his love for Mabel. This opera displays the tragedy of human suffering and challenges that love faces.
